The Sauvignon "Vette" by Tenuta San Leonardo is a fresh and fragrant Trentino white wine, with rich and intense aromas. The nose recognizes sage, green pepper, and white peach: exuberant aromatic notes that invite a crisp and dry sip, with good freshness and minerality

The Sauvignon ‘Vette’ from Tenuta San Leonardo is a white wine from Trentino that stands out for its brilliant freshness and pronounced mineral character. This historic winery has become one of the leading Italian interpreters of international grape varieties such as Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot among the black grape varieties, and Riesling Renano and indeed Sauvignon Blanc for the white grapes. The name ‘Vette’ refers to the imposing alpine peaks that rise above the vineyards.

Tenuta San Leonardo Sauvignon ‘Vette’ represents a pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc, a variety cultivated under certified organic conditions in the cool climate of Trentino, characterized by significant temperature variations between day and night. In the winery, the grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 12 hours, followed by gentle pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 20 days. In the same type of wine containers, the

also carries out the subsequent maturation phase of 5 months on the fine lees that precedes bottling and final marketing.

The ‘Vette’ Sauvignon from Tenuta San Leonardo has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Characteristic and intense are the aromatic descriptors of the nose that evoke sage, white peach, lychee, green pepper, and boxwood. Dry and full-bodied taste, with beautiful freshness and minerality, with a light and elegant progression. A delightful Sauvignon Blanc from Trentino in its youth but also capable of withstanding a few more years of aging in the cellar that will lead to greater softness and further expressive complexity.
