The Syrah comes from vineyards located near the Sicilian city of Monreale. Here, the Syrah vines grow with the trellis system, with a pruning carried out in spurred cordon. The must obtained from the gentle pressing of the grapes ferments for about twenty days in steel containers where the temperature is kept steadily at 28 degrees, also completing malolactic fermentation. The final partof the aging lasts for one year, and takes place 70% in steel tanks, while the remaining 30% of the wine is transferred to second and third passage French oak barriques.
The red wine Tenuta Sallier de la Tour - Tasca d'Almerita presents itself to the eye with a ruby red color, shifting towards violet. The small red fruit envelops the nose recalling blueberries, then shifting towards sensations that refer to spices, with a particular hint of black pepper.
