Terrano

The Terrano is a typical territorial expression of the Carso. Castelvecchio accentuates its fresh and pleasant notes, which in its youth this label gives and easy to combine with any meal. It does not carry out malic fermentation, therefore it presents clear mineral hints, referable to iron, but also of small berries, come more, raspberries, blueberries, in a good condition with the tasting, very fresh, slightly tannic and pleasantly rough. 

Zidarich's Terrano is a dense, fruity red wine, vinified in open oak vats and aged for 24 months in large barrels. Aromas of blueberry spices and berries captivate the nose and prepare for an elegant and balanced sip, with great character and excellent freshness

The Terrano by Skerk is an expressive red wine of pleasant rusticity, produced on the lands of Carso. The nose is perky and full of nuances, recalls the small fruit of bramble, violet, spices and rhubarb. The freshness guides the taste line and it is satisfying, rustic and lively, accompanied by a pleasant tannin and a slight hint of wild spices

The Terrano by Skerlj is a red wine of great minerality and with a pleasant tannic texture that is born on the clayey red soil and rich in iron of the Karst area. The aromatic outfit is rich in suggestions of red fruit, earth, undergrowth and notes of sweet spices. On the palate it is round and soft, with great mineral freshness and fine tannins.

The Terrano made by Pietra is a red from the Carso region, produced with a variety also known as 'lone wolf', that's called so because of the difficulty in growing it and its sharpness. But when it is refined like that of Vina Pietra, the result is really an intriguing wine: aromas of red currant and cherry meet black truffle aromas on the nose, while the palate is intense, slightly tannic and captivatingly fresh. At full maturity it is perfect with white or red meat, you have to try it with lamb and horseradish, a typical recipe of the region
