The Brut Rosé Reserve of the Founder “Giulio Ferrari” is a Trento Sparkling wine that not only stands at the top of the entire regional denomination but aims to become the icon of Italian sparkling rosés. A label in which the mountain Pinot Noir manages to deliver vibrant emotions, pushing the sip, refreshing and marked by a lively sapidity, towards an extremely long finish, which closes a tasting picture that is nothing short of sublime.
The Reserve of the Founder “Giulio Ferrari” is a Trento Sparkling Rosé Brut that comes from a blend of Pinot Noir, present in the final cut at 80%, and Chardonnay. The grapes are hand-picked during the harvest, then immediately transferred to the premises where the Ferrari winery carries out the vinification. Here, the first fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers, while the refermentation occurs in the bottle, following the production principles of the Classic Method. The Sparkling wine then remains for a full 132 months, that is 11 years on the lees, until the operations of disgorgement, dosage, and bottling.
This Trento Sparkling Rosé “Giulio Ferrari” develops in the glass with a bright pink color, characterized by some additional reflections that tend more towards copper at the rim. The perlage is distinguished by a grain of very fine dimensions, endowed with an almost infinite persistence. Layered and satisfying on the nose, where floral touches enriched by hints of citrus and berries emerge, interspersed with aromas of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is incredible, with excellent body, and an innate elegance that relies on a sip of fresh and savory imprint, whose taste recalls the entirety of the aromas perceived earlier on the nose, highlighting an excellent coherence. The excellence of Trentino bubbles is all here, in a bottle with which Ferrari truly proves to be worthy of its historic fame.
