"Vurgo" by Vite ad Ovest is a white wine that express the richness of the Sicily. It is the synthesis of the aroma and delicacy of Catarratto with the personality and freshness of Grillo. The porfumes are citric, floreal and balsamic and reveal a smooth, mineral and persistence flavour.

The Vurgo Bianco from Vite ad Ovest is the perfect expression of the Sicilian territory: rich, marine, and earthy. The bush-trained vines are nestled between Marsala and Mazzara del Vallo, where Vincenzo Angileri cultivates the grapes used to produce this white, a blend of Cataratto and Grillo. The cultivation and winemaking techniques used by the winery correspond to those of the old Sicilian family tradition, which impart territorial expressiveness and the sensation of immersing oneself in all the peculiarities that the soils and the authenticity of Sicily can offer.

The vines cultivated to produce the Vurgo from Vite ad Ovest do not see the use of any chemical treatments, exclusively using copper and sulfur and fertilization obtained from organic substances. The grapes are hand-picked in the first decade of September and then destemmed and pressed to ferment in steel or fiberglass tanks with the aid of only indigenous yeasts. This is followed by a brief two-day maceration that gives a more marked structure to the liquid and enhances its flavor. The aging on the fine lees lasts until bottling, where the wine does not undergo filtration, clarification, or stabilization.

The Vurgo bianco presents itself visually with a straw-yellow color with golden reflections. The aromas released are intense, a direct manifestation of the richness of the Sicilian territory. A persistent aromatic note is due to the more substantial percentage of Cataratto grapes, expertly balanced by fresher notes from the Grillo. The result is a bouquet of citrus, fresh flowers, and balsamic notes. The sip is lively and captivating, soft, and with a persistent savory and mineral touch. A bottle that is a faithful expression of a territory rich in gastronomic history.
