The Scotch "Machir Bay" is a Single Malt Whisky with smoky notes coming from the queen island of the Hebrides, Isaly, and raised for years in Sherry and Bourbon barrels. It owes its name to the bay characterized by spectacular and chilomatic sandy beaches and battered by turbulent and agitated seas. This complex and robust distillate embodies its marvelous naturalistic beauty, combining peaty notes typical of the area with the brackish nuances typical of the area
The Single Malt Whisky "Machir Bay", produced by the Kilchoman Distillery, is a label that takes its name from the homonymous bay, known for a beautiful sandy beach, reminiscent of the marine and iodized atmospheres of a refined and elegant sip. It is a Single Malt that well represents the classic style of the great Whiskies from the island of Islay, with its characteristic peaty notes, enriched by floral scents and fruity aromas and citrus peel. The choice of those who love purity, the savoriness of a sip as clear as the water of the Ocean.
The "Machir Bay" is a Single Malt Whisky produced by Kilchoman, a true Farm Distillery born with the idea of controlling all phases of production: barley cultivation, malting, mashing, fermentation, and distillation. The distillation phase takes place under the attentive and expert gaze of the owner and Master Distiller Anthony Wills. It proceeds in small batches, following a typically artisanal logic, using traditional pot stills of reduced size, which allow for the production of a very fragrant Single Malt with rare expressive purity. For the aging phase, the best American oak barrels previously used for aging Bourbon from the Buffalo Trace distillery and oak barrels used for Spanish wines from Jerez de la Frontera are selected. The prevalence of Bourbon barrels contributes to enhancing the floral aromas and smoky sensations typical of this label.
The Single Malt "Machir Bay" from the Kilchoman Distillery is a Whisky of great finesse, which captivates with its clear and essential profile, for a linear and deep expressive cleanliness. In the glass, it presents an antique gold color with bright and light amber reflections. The bouquet is characterized by scents of white flowers, delicate vanilla aromas, and soft oriental spices, lemon peel, ripe white-fleshed fruit, Williams pear, peach, dried fruit, iodized and marine sensations, smoky hints of peat. The sip is pleasantly smooth, warm, and elegant, with multifaceted aromas that harmoniously combine the sweet and ripe fruity sensations, with citrus fragrances. A clear saline trail accompanies the sip towards a salty, smoky finish with good taste persistence.
