The "1943" by Due Palme is an intense red wine, warm and silky, born from a blend of Primitivo and Aglianico grapes that grow on the red lands of Salento. A complex and intense bouquet of cherry in spirits, balsamic herbs, vanilla, coffee, and tobacco reveals a decisive, soft, and velvety sip, endowed with warmth and pleasant tannins.

The Apulian red "1943" Due Palme is the wine "of the President", that is, the one personally curated by Angelo Maci, president of what is now a large cooperative reality that can count on more than 1,200 member suppliers. The light drying of the Aglianico and Primitivo grapes gives greater structure to the final product, which, thanks to its important alcohol content, envelops the palate with warmth, proposing to evolve even in the coming years while remaining in the bottle. A label of great depth, which is recommended to taste on those occasions when one finds oneself at the table with passionate friends.

This "1943" is a blend that comes from the union of two red grape varieties, each present in the final blend at 50%: we are talking about Aglianico and Primitivo. The grapes are already harvested late, so as to be slightly dried; a part of them then continues to dry inside the fruit rooms of the Due Palme winery, where aeration is kept constant to avoid humidity. The must ferments in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature. The subsequent aging takes place first for 9 months in oak barrels and then, once the bottling operations are completed, for another 6 months directly in glass before the wine is put on the market.

The red wine "1943" Due Palme presents itself to the visual examination with a color reminiscent of ruby, endowed with a particular depth and impenetrability. Incredible the nose, endowed with a truly admirable expressiveness, in which notes of fruit, even in spirits, alternate with tertiary touches and balsamic references, which are especially felt at the end of the olfactory examination. On the palate, it is full-bodied, soft and gentle in enveloping the palate with a generous and warm sip, almost material. A label that comes from a very strict selection of grapes, which leads to an exclusive product in which each bottle, precisely to emphasize its importance, is numbered.
