Chianti Classico 'Brolio Bettino' Ricasoli 2023
Perfect to give as a giftThe Chianti Classico "Brolio Bettino" is a modern, elegant and full-bodied interpretation of Tuscany, a red wine aged for 18 months in large oak barrels. It exudes intense aromas of cherries and red fruit in jam, humus, herbs and various spices. The sip is structured, soft, savory, with good freshness and persistence
The Chianti Classico “Brolio Bettino” from Cantina Ricasoli 1141 represents a modern interpretation of the tradition of this historic Tuscan denomination. A deep and elegant red, aged for a long time in wood to achieve a more complex and long-lived wine. The bouquet presents mature and complex aromas, which shift from fruit to spicy notes, noble woods, and sensations of underbrush. On the palate, it has good structure, is rich and persistent, suitable for pairing with second courses of red meats.
The wine “Brolio Bettino” by Ricasoli is a Chianti Classico produced in the vast estate that extends around the Castle of Brolio, in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. Over 1200 hectares, of which 235 are cultivated with vineyards. The Sangiovese vines are grown on the gentle slopes of beautiful hills, surrounded by an untouched natural environment of ancient woods. The current owner Francesco Ricasoli is responsible for the renewal of the facilities and the careful clonal selection, which has allowed for increasingly better quality grapes. The wine is born from the classic blend of the territory: Sangiovese (90%) and a small percentage of Colorino (10%). Fermentation takes place in small steel tanks, with a maceration period on the skins of about two weeks, at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for 18 months in large barrels and after static decantation, it is bottled without filtration. It completes its aging with at least 3 months in the cellar before being put on the market.
The red Chianti Classico “Brolio Bettino” is the quintessential Tuscan wine, the one that best represents the tradition, offered in a more mature, rich, and complex version. Elegant and intense, it retains the freshness and drinkability typical of Chianti wines, without the wood aging weighing down its profile. In the glass, it presents a beautiful ruby red. On the nose, it opens with aromas of cherry jam, red fruit, spices, humus, and delicate woody notes. The sip shows good body, with a dense and evolved tannic texture, rich fruit, and a pleasant final freshness.
