Organic and biodynamicThe Etna Rosso "Monte Gorna" is a red wine with complex and mineral notes that comes from a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes grown at high altitude on volcanic soils. Aged in large cask and barrique, it reveals a smooth and pure structure, with great freshness and pleasantly tannic, with mineral nuances, aromas of cherry, licorice, sweet spices, and balsamic memories.
The Etna Rosso “Monte Gorna” by Cantine Nicosia is a label that well represents the terroir and the character of the red grape varieties typical of Etna. It is particularly suitable to be served at the table with first courses with meat or game sauces, with roasted or grilled meats. In the glass, it presents a bright light ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. Elegant and fine, on the nose it expresses fragrant aromas of small red berries, currants, cherries, raspberries, hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, licorice root, nuances of cloves, and delicate spices. Medium-bodied, it opens on the palate with refined fruity aromas, supported by a pleasant and evolved tannic texture. The finish is pleasantly fresh, balsamic, and has good taste persistence.
