The Pinot Grigio Ramato is a wine with a deep pink color and a warm, enveloping profile. On the nose, it displays intense and complex aromas, including rose, ginseng, sour cherry, and coffee. Freshness and minerality complete a compact and fleshy structure, which pairs well with ham, cheeses, white meats, and salmon.

The Ramato by Davide Feresin represents a characteristic Friulian interpretation of Pinot Grigio, a gray-skinned variety processed through prolonged contact between the fermenting must and the skins, from which the peculiar coppery color of the wine arises, hence the name of the label. The vineyard is located precisely in the locality of San Quirino, in Cormons, within the production area included in the Isonzo del Friuli denomination. The agronomic management of the estate always respects nature and its cycles, while in the cellar traditional winemaking practices are adopted.

The Pinot Grigio Davide Feresin Ramato comes exclusively from Pinot Grigio grapes sourced from vines planted in 1997 on gravelly soils. Once harvested, the bunches are transferred to the cellar for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature associated with 3-6 days of skin maceration. The subsequent maturation period of 7 months takes place in vitrified concrete tanks, followed by a few more months of resting in the bottle before being released on the market.

Grigio Ramato displays a unique pink hue with coppery reflections. The bouquet expresses typical aromas of acacia flowers, wild strawberries, cherries, and small roses, combined with deeper hints of coffee and ginseng. Warm, soft, and assertive on the palate, not lacking in balance and freshness, with a pleasant mineral memory that characterizes the long, pleasantly almond-like finish. Due to its uniqueness and sensory characteristics that bring this bottle closer to a red wine than to a macerated white, the Ramato by Feresin should be enjoyed not too cold, paired with dishes of a certain structure, such as preparations based on white meats or flavorful first courses.
