The "Ninfa" by Velenosi is a red wine made from a blend of Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah that offers a strong impact and great gustatory progression. The vineyards are located 250 meters above sea level, in the Piceno area. Aging in wooden barrels for 18-24 months allows for the development of pleasant spicy notes of tobacco, licorice, and black pepper. The intense ruby color hides an intense structure and an elegant taste marked by soft and round tannins.

The “Ninfa” by Velenosi is an extremely feminine and elegant blend of red grapes with a strong and decisive character. It is produced in Piceno, a jewel of a territory, but with great potential. One finds themselves in front of a top-of-the-line everyday wine with excellent quality-price ratio, despite its full-bodied and intense structure. The label is captivating, born from a splash of wine that fell on the tablecloth during tasting trials. In the image, one recognizes a woman painted in red, light, refined, and with personality, just like the women of the Velenosi family.

The vineyards of Velenosi’s red “Ninfa” are located in the municipalities of Offida and Castel di Lama at about 200-250 meters above sea level. Found on a clayey terroir, tending towards limestone, the grape varieties in this blend are Montepulciano, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Both alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration take place in steel tanks. The latter is differentiated for each variety in a time frame of 15 to 30 days. The aging then takes place in new large wooden barrels of 300 liters for 18-24 months and subsequently the wine is left to rest in the bottle for 3 months.

This red “Ninfa” presents itself to the eye with a strong intense ruby color, characterized by violet reflections. The aromas on the nose are persistent and deep. At first impact, red fruits like blackberries and cherries are perceived, along with spicy aromas derived from aging, from tobacco to black pepper, completing the aromatic profile with balsamic notes. Firm and decisive in the mouth, with a slight soft tannin, it is a mature wine ready to serve. A pleasant expression that encapsulates the authentic soul of Piceno.
