ROSSO DI MONTALCINO MASTROJANNI 2020 DESCRIPTION

The Rosso di Montalcino made by Mastrojanni is the result of the winery's great bond between terroir, grapes and savoir-faire. Sangiovese, a grape variety that reaches incredible qualitative heights near the town of Montalcino, is cultivated with care and patience, devoting great attention to work in the vineyards throughout the course of the vintage. The label is born in the vineyard, according to Mastrojanni's creed, and it is thanks to this approach that this Rosso is able to present the typical fruity characteristics of the grape variety used, which envelop the nose and palate with noteworthy harmonies. To be tried without delay!

This Rosso di Montalcino is made by Mastrojanni from the queen grape of the Tuscan terroir, Sangiovese. The vines of this variety are constantly monitored by the winery team, aware that great wine is made right between the rows, and it is therefore absolutely necessary to arrive at harvest time with healthy bunches, rich in aroma and flavour. The berries, once harvested during the harvest stage, ferment alcoholically and then mature in Allier oak barrels for a period of 6-7 months, at the end of which bottling and marketing operations take place.

This Rosso di Montalcino wine announces itself to the eye with an iridescent colour, between ruby and a hue more reminiscent of purple. The set of scents that help create the olfactory profile of this bottle centres on small red fruit, particularly notes of cherry and plum. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, swaddling and ample on the palate, with a sip of refined elegance that satisfies the drinker thanks to well-sculpted tannins. A signature Tuscan red from the Mastrojanni winery is ideal for drinking throughout a meal, very versatile gastronomically, and perfect for both informal and more important occasions.
