PINOT NOIR 'FLOW' DU VIN AUX LIENS 2019 DESCRIPTION

The Pinot Noir 'Flow', which stands out for its crispness and relaxing taste, is the result of a collaboration between Du Vin aux Liens and the Alsatian winery Domaine Loberger. Du Vin aux Liens is a project launched in 2019 to highlight small artisanal wineries, mainly in Alsace and the Loire, while Domaine Loberger is an Alsatian winery in Bergholtz, a small village a few kilometres south of Colmar, dedicated to the vision of biodynamic production. The lively design on the label is the work of artist Ariel Cortez.

The Pinot Noir "Flow" from Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Loberger comes from the blackberry grape of the same name, which is processed in pure culture and cultivated according to organic and biodynamic agriculture principles. The plot from which the grapes originate was planted about 25 years ago and lies between the Grand Cru sites Spiegel and Saering on soils predominantly clay, lime and sandstone. The grapes are harvested by hand and then macerated in stainless steel tanks, where only indigenous yeasts carry out the alcoholic fermentation, which is accompanied by maceration on the skins for about two weeks. After racking and gentle pressing, the wine matures in the same barrels for 10 months, during which spontaneous malolactic fermentation also takes place. The mass is not clarified, filtered or sulphurised throughout the vinification and ageing process.

The Pinot Noir "Flow" from Du Vin aux Liens and Domaine Loberger has a bright ruby red colour. Rich, intense notes of berries and flowers characterise the nose, while the taste is juicy, fresh and lively, with fine tannins accompanying the long, harmonious, fruity finish.
