The Brut Reserve of the English winery Gusbourne is a sparkling wine rich in aromas with a delicate foam. The grapes used for this blend are Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, which are fermented in steel and barriques for 10 days, refermented in bottle according to the classic method and finally aged for 36 months. The aromas that are perceived recall fruity aromas and white peach, an intense aroma of apple pie and toasted notes of dried fruit

The Spumante Brut Reserve by Gusbourne originates in Kent, southeast of London, in an area that overlooks northern France. The winery was established thanks to the shared project of Jon Pollard and Andrew Weeber, who decided in 2004 to convert about 20 hectares of land previously used for vegetable and seed agriculture into land entirely cultivated with vines. Thanks to agricultural studies, knowledge gained in New Zealand, and the French and German models of vineyard cultivation, the activity took shape, starting to produce quality sparkling wines that could reach the most demanding palates. The elegant coat of arms with the geese is inspired by the original coat of arms of the Goosebourne Family, owners of the estate in the fifteenth century.

The blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Nero in the Spumante Brut Reserve by Gusbourne comes from vineyards that grow on soils predominantly composed of clay with a subsoil of sand, Kentish shells, gypsum, and flint soil typical of West Sussex. The climate in this area is warm and dry in summer and is influenced of the influence of the breezes coming from the English Channel; in winter, there are usually heavy rains that fill the surrounding streams, making the soils lush. The harvest takes place in October and the grape picking is manual. The whole bunch is pressed and left to settle for 24 hours; it follows a fermentation with selected yeasts in steel and wood. It ages for 24 months in the bottle.

The Spumante Brut Reserve by Gusbourne appears visually as a golden yellow with brilliant reflections and a delicate and fine perlage. On the nose, there are hints of citrus and white peach, dried and toasted fruit, and freshly baked cake; on the palate, it presents a pleasant delicacy and finesse and an elegance that is present glass after glass. It pairs perfectly with warm appetizers based on mollusks and shellfish, with fish tartare; interesting also with fresh cheeses. A product to be enjoyed with family to celebrate important occasions such as anniversaries or commemorations or for formal aperitifs, savoring in the glass a wine cared for in every detail and a proud ambassador of the land English.
