The "Susucaru" Rosso is a pure and transparent portrait of Etna that traces with character the refined and mineral profile of Nerello Mascalese. It is born on the lava terraces of the northern part of the great volcano from sapling vines of 70-80 years. The sip is modulated by a great finesse and a fine mineral freshness, despite the good extraction and the alcoholic heat. The nose is also accompanied by an elegant bouquet of small red fruits, liquorice roots and peppery and marine frames

The "Susucaru" Rosso, formerly Contadino, is a true expression of Etna, a juicy and invigorating expression of Nerello Mascalese. When talking about Frank Cornelissen, we are talking about one of the most well-known and respected figures in the world of artisanal wines, with interpretations that manage to combine depth and drinkability. Frank's journey has been long and varied, as he decided in 2001 to embark on his adventure in Sicilian territory, never abandoning the mantra that a liquid must be a faithful representation of its territory and vintage. After a long period of using terracotta amphorae, Frank has now opted for aging mostly in neutral fiberglass containers, to preserve the purity of the organoleptic profile of his liquids. Dynamic and chameleonic, his bottles are always a unique and formative experience. Before and after.

The Rosso "Susucaru" is obtained from Nerello Mascalese grapes with small percentages of Minella Nera, Alicante, Bouschet, Nerello Cappuccio, and Minella Bianco, selected fromvines on their own roots that are over 50 years old and are located on the northern slopes of Etna, at about 600 meters above sea level. In the vineyard, no chemical or synthetic substances or treatments of any kind have ever been used. The particular vocation of the local territory and the careful manual selection of the clusters are the prelude to spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in fiberglass tanks with aging for several months in the same. Only a light filtration with 3-micron cartridges before bottling.

The "Susucaru" by Cornelissen has an intense and lively ruby-violet hue. From the very first sniff, the liquid makes things clear: it is a sprite, elusive, capable of jumping from one descriptor to another, catering to any teaching modality. Raspberry, clove, dog rose, black pepper, citrus peel: a captivating whirlwind! The sip is well-structured, agile, and sinuous despite the prominent extract. Frank's magical potion. Irresistible!
