Pet Nat 'Obi Wine Keno Bulle' Geschickt
Artisanal
Organic and biodynamicThe Pet Nat "Obi Wine Keno Bulle" from the Geschickt winery in Alsace is a semi-sparkling wine that pays homage to the saga of Star wars, the great passion of the vigneron. Made from a blend of Auxerrois, Riesling and Muscat fermented by indigenous yeasts, and refermented in bottle according to ancestral method. An explosion of irresistible fruit, with intense notes of plum and pear, for a simple bubble, with a savory and crunchy profile. Excellent wine to serve during a spring picnic
The Pet Nat "Obi Wine Keno Bulle" by Geschickt is produced in Ammerschwihr, an Alsatian municipality on the border with Germany, a land dedicated to the production of high-quality white wines. In 1950, Bernadette Meyer and Jerome Geschickt decided to create a productive reality that could enhance the beauty of this land, in respect of tradition and the environment: in 1998, the complete conversion to organic farming took place. The fourth generation is now the heir of the activity, making changes and introducing new methods so that the work becomes future-oriented.
The Auxerrois, Riesling, and Muscat grapes of the Pet Nat "Obi Wine Keno Bulle" by Geschickt grow in a predominantly continental climate, characterized by sunny and sultry summers and harsh winters, but without too many rainy phenomena, which guarantees the possibility of late grape harvests. The soil is predominantly composed of clay, limestone, and sand for an elegant final product. Human intervention in the vineyard is kept to a minimum, without the use of synthetic chemical substances. Once the manual harvest is completed, alcoholic fermentation takes place in the cellar with spontaneous yeasts and a re-fermentation in the bottle using the Ancestral Method.
The Pet Nat "Obi Wine Keno Bulle" by Geschickt presents itself in the glass with a straw yellow color with intense and brilliant reflections. On the nose, fruity aromas such as plum, apple, and pear are perceived, and on the palate, it is cheerful, easy-drinking, and lively for carefree sips. It pairs excellently with mixed cold cuts, mixed fried fish, and smoked salmon; interesting also with fresh cheeses. A product to be kept in the cellar and shared with lifelong friends for evenings filled with joy.
