Cannonau 'Ghirada Fittiloghe' VikeVike 2021

VikeVike’s ‘Ghirada Fittiloghe’ Cannonau comes from a single vineyard situated at an altitude of 700 metres in Barbagia. The wine’s name derives from ‘Ghirada’, which in the Sardinian dialect refers to a single vineyard, and ‘Fittiloghe’, the vineyard’s specific name. This is a fresher, more immediate version of the Mamoiada Cannonau, with a lively, easy-drinking character. It ferments in stainless steel and is aged for around a year in large oak barrels. On the nose, there are hints of red fruits, light balsamic notes and delicate spicy undertones. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with soft tannins and good freshness. It pairs perfectly with mature sheep’s milk cheeses
