Muratori's Chardonnay 'Setticlavio' is a still white wine from Adro that expresses the qualities of the Sebino area. It is produced with a long passage in barriques, which gives structure and typical aromaticity. The nose has a rich bouquet, with notes of white peach, citrus and vanilla hints. Balanced between lively freshness and diffuse warmth, it stands out for its intense savouriness

Muratori's 'Setticlavio' Chardonnay represents a savoury, buttery expression of the world's most famous white grape variety produced in the Franciacorta region, particularly in the commune of Adro. Specialising in the production of Metodo Classico sparkling wines, the Muratori winery has taken up the challenge, together with renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, to also produce high quality still wines, focusing on the noble international grape varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These gave rise to bottles inspired by the greats of Burgundy, produced in a numbered series.
The 'Setticlavio' Muratori Chardonnay is made exclusively from grapes of the Burgundy variety of the same name from a single vineyard with an average age of 25 years, located within the commune of Adro, where the vines stand on deep soils of morainic origin. Harvesting is carried out by hand in small crates and the bunches are immediately transferred to the cellar's cold storage room for rapid cooling. Only the free-run must obtained from gently crushing the grapes is sent for alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14 °C. Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine is racked into French oak barriques for the 9-month maturation that precedes final bottling.
Muratori's 'Setticlavio' Chardonnay possesses an elegant straw-yellow hue with brilliant greenish nuances. The aromatic bouquet expresses intense and fine hints of white peach, lemon peel and white flowers that meet with light buttery hints and refined woody tones. The balance on the palate is excellent between good warmth, creamy softness and pleasant freshness, elements that define an important overall structure accompanying the savoury, almost salty finish.
