The Perda Pintà by Sedilesu is a white wine of ancient memory, obtained from Granazza grapes coming from vines rooted at 600 meters above sea level. Delicate citrus notes on the nose accompanied by hints of anise and a background of Mediterranean scrub. The palate is decided, with an enveloping sapidity and minerality, with a good alcohol content and an intriguing aromatic amplitude. Wine made with old style artisanal methods

The Perda Pintà is not just another wine: first of all because it embodies the highest degree of the production philosophy of Giuseppe Sedilesu, who has made respect for the nature that hosts it his main source of inspiration. Based on this approach, Giuseppe Sedilesu made a strong choice together with his wife in the early 1970s: to return to the original peasant culture.

This led to a long effort, carried out with the help of all family members, to reconstruct in the cellar a traditional style, focused on sustainability in the vineyard and in winemaking: minimal quantities of sulfites, indigenous yeasts, and spontaneous fermentations, with long macerations. The vineyards, located in the heart of Barbagia, have recently been converted to organic, but in fact, the cultivations have always been based on the concept of minimal human intervention. Of great interest is the genealogy of the Sedilesu vines, all cultivated with traditional bush training: among the 12 hectares of property, 7 of these host vines over fifty years old and 1 boasts vines that date back even a century ago.

The Perda Pintà is the original result of this meticulous work of enhancing the relationship between man and vine: by choosing to vinify this Granaza, an indigenous grape variety commonly used in the barbaric area blended with Cannonau, Giuseppe Sedilesu wanted to create a wine of great personality, which, due to its great aromatic concentration and powerful structure, is capable of supporting unconventional food pairings. Embracing, savory, extremely mineral: the Perda Pintà by Giuseppe Sedilesu is a gem for those who love to rediscover in the glass the expressive tenacity of the granite and wild land of Barbagia without compromises.
