It is an absolute excellence of this distillery, located in a particularly suited area. The area of the Motagua river valley is characterized by ancient volcanic soils, very suitable for the cultivation of sugar cane. The ideal climate and centuries-old savoir-faire do the rest and allow the market to offer distillates that are not only of high quality but also characterized by a well-defined character, which constitutes the classic stylistic signature of Zacapa.

The Solera Gran Reserva Rum from Zacapa is an intoxicating experience. The extraordinary aromatic richness comes from using pure sugar cane juice of the highest quality, processed according to the oldest artisanal traditions. Once fermentation is complete, the slow distillation is carried out with extreme care, in order to obtain a rum characterized by intensity and expressive finesse. The distillate ages in barrels previously used for the refinement of Bourbon and the fragrant fortified wines of Andalusia from Jerez: Sherry and Pedro Ximenez. The process takes place using the Solera Method, which involves a blend of Rum from different vintages, from the youngest to those aged in barrels for as long as 23 years. Aging occurs in the city of Quetzaltenango, at an altitude of 2300 meters above sea level, which ensures the best conditions of temperature and humidity for perfect evolution with the development of elegant tertiary aromas.

The Zacapa Gran Reserva Rum Solera is an exceptional distillate produced by a historic Central American distillery. It is a rum of remarkable structure and complexity, offering the pleasure of extraordinary tasting softness. Visually, it presents a rather intense amber color, with bright mahogany reflections. The olfactory palette captivates with breadth and richness, with aromas reminiscent of sweet oriental spices, the softness of caramel, the aromas of candied orange peel, dried fruit, figs, tropical fruit, notes of cocoa, chocolate, and toasted nuances of noble woods and roasting. The palate entry is seductive and enveloping, with a warm and deep sip that harmoniously extends towards a finish of remarkable persistence.
