Fratelli Alessandria's Barolo 'Gramolere' is an intense expression of Nebbiolo grapes from the vineyards of Monforte d'Alba, on the calcareous-sandy soils that characterise the Menzione Gramolere. After three years in Slavonian and French oak barrels, the wine matures in steel and for two years in the bottle, to fully evolve the austere profile of this great red. Intense notes of red and black fruits open the scene in this finely spiced bouquet, with hints of undergrowth on the finish. On the palate, it surprises with its structure and warmth: a wine to wait a few moments to give it time to express itself. A red of extraordinary longevity, it should be paired with refined meat dishes
Light ruby red with garnet hues
Hints of red and black fruit such as plum, cherry, hints of undergrowth and cinnamon on the finish
Very warm, enveloping and with tight tannins, very structured
