The Red 'C'est Bon le Vin' du Château de la Vieille Chapelle is a wine 'between the two seas', that's to say from the area between the two tributaries of the Gironde, the Garonne and the Dordogne. It is made from Merlot and Bouchalès grapes, an almost disappeared indigenous grape variety of the Bordeaux region, harvested from ancient, pre-Phylloxera vines, some 130 years old! To the nose it has classic hints of red fruits and balsamic notes, which create an intriguing combination with animal hints of leather on the finish. To the it is palate is elegant, with the typical power, persistence and tannicity of Bordeaux Merlots

The Red "C'est Bon le Vin" from Château de la Vieille Chapelle is born in France in the renowned wine region of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Gironde in the town of Lugon. The estate was purchased in 2006 by the couple Fabienne and Frédéric, responsible respectively for hospitality and public relations and for the production and commercial aspects. The adjacent chapel dates back to the 11th century and has Roman origins, contributing to making this magical and welcoming place along with the surrounding vineyards. Passion and attention to detail are the fundamental ingredients for the production of a quality and sustainable wine.

The vineyards of the Red "C'est Bon le Vin" from Château de la Vieille Chapelle extend over about 11 hectares of completely cultivated land, and the peculiarity lies in the age of the plants, which can reach up to 180 years. The guiding idea in the vineyard is to intervene as little as possible, observing and respecting the natural evolution of the plants and the raw material and at the same time banning any type of synthetic chemical substance in the vineyard. In 2013, organic certification was obtained, followed by biodynamic certification, preferring the use of natural decoctions and horses to preserve the structure of the soil.at the same time banning any type of synthetic chemical substance in the vineyard. In 2013, organic certification was obtained and subsequently biodynamic certification, preferring the use of natural decoctions and horses to preserve the structure of the soil. In the cellar, alcoholic fermentation takes place thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts in cement and then it ages for 12 months in wood.

To the eye, the Rosso "C'est Bon le Vin" from Château de la Vieille Chapelle appears as an intense ruby red with bright reflections. On the nose, aromas of sour cherry, ripe plum combined with hints of leather and fresh notes of wild mint reveal themselves; on the palate it is elegant, enveloping, and penetrating with a significant presence of tannins, but well integrated into the structure for an engaging drink. Excellent paired with dishes based on grilled and braised red meat, game, and first courses with a significant seasoning. A wine to reserve for celebrations for important family occasions, sharing a product that is a fruit of the land of which it is an ambassador and of its most genuine flavors.
