From our sommeliers
The Pallagrello Nero "Riccio" by Alepa is a Campanian red wine aged for 20 months in oak tonneaux and stainless steel. It has an intense ruby red color, streaked with garnet reflections, and expresses peppery sensations, underbrush, humus, blackberries and blueberries, fresh violets on the nose. On the palate, it is evolved and supported by vibrant freshness, slender and dynamic, enriched by polished tannins.
perseverance of some small producers that this variety has not completely disappeared and today we can still know and appreciate it. For some decades, a process of re-evaluation of Pallagrello Nero has begun, along with all Italian indigenous grape varieties, precisely to try to make this small forgotten pearl of our ampelographic heritage known.

The Pallagrello Nero “Riccio” wine from the Caserta winery Ale.P.A. is a Campanian wine, not only elegant and particularly pleasant to taste, but also very interesting from an ampelographic point of view. It allows, in fact, to taste this ancient indigenous grape variety in purity and to appreciate its good predisposition to aging in wood. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using only indigenous yeasts. The wine matures for a period of 20 months, partly in steel tanks and partly in oak tonneaux. The Pallagrello Nero presents itself with an intense ruby red color with slight garnet hues. The olfactory profile is dominated by aromas of small dark berries, hints of underbrush, floral nuances, and delicately spicy sensations. On the palate, it has a medium structure, with an elegant sip and a fine tannic texture. The finish is of good taste persistence, with a finale of balanced freshness.
