The red "Cuvée Rot" by Weingut Bergkloster is produced with red varieties typical of the Rhineland, with which the young Jason produces a complex but very easy to drink red, really a 'glu-glu' wine. On the nose there are hints of red and black fruits, such as cherries and black currant, with a pleasant note of rhubarb. Despite partially ripe in wooden barrels, the palate is not very tannin, while freshness is the master, with a vibrant finish and electric energy. To drink to refresh or accompany with a platter of cold cuts and cheeses

The Rosso “Cuvée Rot” by Weingut Bergkloster is produced in the ancient village of Wonnegau in Rhineland. Jason Groebe inherited the century-old family business: the first ancestors who arrived in these lands began to cultivate them, giving life to the Bergkloster vineyard, from which the winery takes its name. Jason's idea is to fully preserve the tradition that has characterized his family's work, revisiting it as necessary to make it future-proof; it is also important for him to respect nature and the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards.

The grapes for the Rosso “Cuvée Rot” by Weingut Bergkloster have been cultivated since 2006, following the principles of organic farming, believing that man must work with care and attention the fruits that the land provides, respecting their stages of development and ripening. In the vineyard, intervention is kept to the bare minimum, avoiding any type of synthetic chemical, pesticides, or herbicides. The grape harvest is done manually; once in the winery, fermentation is triggered by the action of indigenous yeasts and subsequently two-thirds of the must are aged in wood, while the remaining part in steel.

The color of the Rosso “Cuvée Rot” by Weingut Bergkloster is ruby red with brilliant reflections. The bouquet of aromas recalls cherry, black currant, and light bitter notes of rhubarb; on the palate, it is refreshing, vibrant with good freshness on the finish that invites glass after glass. It pairs perfectly with dishes based on mixed cold cuts, fish cooked in stew, and white meats. A product to reserve for the family festive table, to enjoy in the glass a genuine and authentic wine that unleashes all the wonderful potential of the Rhineland land.
