Spumante Metodo Classico Brut 'Gran Cuveé' La Palazzola
ArtisanalThe Spumante Metodo Classico Brut Gran Cuveé by La Palazzola is an Umbrian sparkling wine made from mostly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, evolved on the lees for 36 months. It smells of toasted hazelnuts and almonds, citrus pulp and notes of crunchy apple, while the sip is silky and refreshing, savory, with excellent structure with citrus closure and fresh bread. Artisanal wine
The Spumante Metodo Classico Brut Gran Cuvée from La Palazzola is a sparkling wine endowed with great energy and freshness, a perfect compromise for those seeking both complexity and a carefree drink. Undoubtedly one of the most representative labels of the Umbrian winery led by Stefano Grilli, summarizing the stylistic signature of the winery as well as the work done by Riccardo Cotarella, an oenologist who certainly needs no introduction. A rather extensive vineyard heritage, consisting of 29 hectares cultivated without the use of herbicides and soil treatments, in order to preserve the vitality of soil and plants, allowing for a wide range of types, from classic methods to passito, including still whites and reds. The wines, all excellent, express a clear and precise stylistic signature, dedicated to elegance while preserving territorial expressiveness.
The Brut Gran Cuvée La Palazzola is obtained from Chardonnay with a small addition of Pinot Nero, from vineyards located in the countryside surrounding Terni. In the vineyard, organic farming practices are followed, excluding the use of chemicals or synthetic substances, while in the winery, after the fermentation of the base wines, bottle fermentation is carried out according to the Champenoise method and aging of 23 months on the lees
The Brut Gran Cuvée La Palazzola presents itself in the glass with an intense golden hue and fine, persistent bubbles. The aromatic profile is broad yet casual, where clear hints of wildflowers, hazelnut, toasted bread, and ripe apple stand out. On the palate, the liquid combines great drinkability with a creamy texture, and fades into a rather long finish driven by a salty contribution. Universal.
