Wine Box 'Flora' Girlan (3bt)

The Wine Box 'Flora' aims to highlight one of the finest selections from Girlan, a estate located in Cornaiano, historically known by the name Girlan, along the Wine Road of Alto Adige. It is one of the most important cooperative wineries in the area, founded in 1923 by 23 winegrower members in a historic farmhouse dating back to the 16th century. Today, there are 200 contributing members, engaged in the cultivation of 220 hectares of vineyards located in the areas with the highest viticultural vocation of the Bassa Atesina and Oltradige.

Inside the Wine Box 'Flora' from the Girlan winery, there are three bottles belonging to the 'Flora' line, a range that includes fine expressions from the best vineyards of the estate, subjected to very strict quality controls throughout the entire production process. Among the varieties included in the selection, cultivated at very high altitudes, are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Nero, and Moscato Rosa. In general, the processing involves the use of both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels of various capacities, adapting the choice of wine container to the specific characteristics of the grape variety. The result is wines that express the fresh alpine character of Alto Adige, also endowed with an irresistible mineral stamp. The name of the line derives from the name of the South Tyrolean artist Paul Flora, who personally illustrated the labels.
