The Farm Coroncino of Lucio Canestrari and his wife Fiorella Di Nardo, was born 1981 in Stafford, in the province of Ancona. From the beginning, the couple Canestrari have cultivated vineyards, which originally did not exceed three hectares, with organic farming: grassing, no fertilization and low sulfur are just some of the cornerstones around which moved all corporate activities, from the vineyard to bottling. Today, the vineyards of the farm covering a total of 17.5 hectares, located between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. 9.5 hectares located in crus Coroncino, Cupramonata and San Paolo di Jesi, which are among the most suitable terroir for the cultivation of Verdicchio, perhaps because of the nature of the soil is rich in calcareous marl. The owners like to point out not to belong to any association and to be free to do wine as they like: pleasant, light and rich in aromas of this land. The annual production of the farm is kept deliberately low to give priority to the highest quality at the expense of quantity; the grapes are harvested in the ripening very advanced, rigorously selected in manual mode, pressing is soft, not to disperse the spices, and the fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to obtain the highest quality. In Staffolo family Canestari produces Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi in different types and a Rosso IGT; their flagship product is the Verdicchio Gaiospino, which in 2010 was nominated for the award of best white wine of the year, but also the Coroncino scored more than once the three clusters AIS.
