Steinbock Selection Alcohol Free is an innovative and non-alcoholic label that comes from a Riesling Kabinett from the Moselle area subjected to a vacuum distillation process. This process preserves the varietal and citrus aromas of Riesling and the fresh and pleasant taste of a young white wine. An ideal low-calorie soft drink that can be drunk without worries and without renouncing an inviting companion glass!
The “Steinbock Selection” is a new and innovative label created by Hofstätter at the German estate of Weingut Dr. Fischer. It is a de-alcoholized beverage made from Riesling Kabinett wine from the Moselle, a category of German classification that indicates dry and light wines made from grapes harvested slightly late. The idea of the winery is to offer an alcohol-free Riesling with the same characteristics as the wine, thus an innovative vacuum distillation process is used, which involves reducing the atmospheric pressure to 15 mbar, resulting in a decrease in the boiling point of alcohol from 78°C to 25-30°C, in order to achieve an alcohol content of less than 0.25%. This process allows for the preservation of the typical organoleptic characteristics of the wine, maintaining a fragrant and varietal profile.
The Alcohol Free “Steinbock Selection” comes from the idea of offering a non-alcoholic beverage with the same characteristics as wine, but with different advantages. First of all, it is a a product with low calorie content due to the absence of alcohol and which proves to be a perfect solution for those - by choice or necessity - who do not want to give up a toast in company and celebrate in style. It is also a great idea for toning up after physical activity and an excellent mixing ingredient to create new and interesting virgin cocktails.
The “Steinbock Selection” presents itself with a straw yellow color crossed by bright greenish reflections. On the nose, it has a fragrant and fresh profile, composed of the typical varietal notes of Riesling: green apple, citrus, spring flowers, flint, and hydrocarbons. The sip is refreshing, very smooth, and light, with a slender, clean, and pleasantly aromatic texture that immediately calls for another taste. A new and revolutionary idea that looks to the future because, as the winery says, “times change, habits change, and we change with them.”
