Today, the cultivated hectares exceed 200, with holdings that practically span every dedicated parcel in the area, although the production intent has not changed despite the size and remains that of bottling traditional liquids of the highest quality level. The style of the winery is recognizable and distinctive, aimed at the relentless pursuit of elegance, harmony, and balance in what is a more than successful mission. Iconic winery.
The Ca' Florian is obtained from the classic blend of Amarone, namely Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, and Rondinella, and from a single vineyard called Ca' Florian, located in the municipality of San Pietro in Cariano. In the vineyard, utmost attention is paid to the ripeness of the grapes, which are harvested by hand, while subsequently, the drying process takes place in the fruit room, followed by alcoholic fermentation that occurs in wooden vats and lasts for about a month. The liquid ages for one year in 500-liter tonneaux and for another 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels before bottling, where it rests for an additional year.
The “Ca' Florian” Amarone Riserva literally fills the glass with its dense and intense ruby hue. The nose is extremely rich and luscious, showcasing a multitude of descriptors including blackberry, marasca cherry, licorice, graphite, and cocoa. The olfactory breadth, nearly boundless, is matched by a sip that possesses volume and breath, as well as a velvety texture. The finish is incredibly long for what is a wine suited for important dishes or solitary meditation.
