Bordeaux Blanc 'Jardiner' Chateau de Cranne 2024

The Bordeaux Blanc ‘Jardiner’ from Chateau de Cranne is a French label designed as a ready-to-drink wine, making it an ideal complement for convivial aperitifs. It is a refined blend of Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle, both varieties traditionally grown in Bordeaux, albeit of secondary importance compared to other white grapes like Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Due to its characteristic aromatic profile, Muscadelle resembles the family of Moscato, despite being related. Meanwhile, Sauvignon Gris is a genetic mutation of Sauvignon Blanc, characterized by a peculiar pink hue of the ripening grapes and a lower aromaticity of the wine. Generally, its limited spread has long been due to low yields in grapes.

Chateau de Cranne Bordeaux Blanc ‘Jardiner’ comes from an approximately equal blend of Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle, varieties cultivated under certified organic farming since 2005. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks thanks to the sole action of the yeasts present on the grapes and in the winemaking environment, without the use of enzymes and oenological aids. Once the fermentation process is complete, the mass remains to mature in the same type of winemaking containers for several months until bottling.

The color of the Bordeaux Blanc Chateau de Cranne ‘Jardiner’ is pale straw yellow with bright greenish flashes. On the nose, immediate fruity and floral notes of melon, apricot, lemon zest, and jasmine are perceived. Fresh and intense sip, aromatic and very drinkable, with a pleasant fruity finish. A perfect white wine to drink young to enhance its pronounced freshness.
