"Le Mont Benoit" is an exuberant and refined Champagne Premier Cru that comes from the homonymous plot of over 50-year-old Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. With the lowest sugar residue of the line, despite also being an Extra Brut, it is a sparkling wine vinified in wood with great charm and class, captivating with its aromatic profile rich in notes of white flowers, almond paste, green apple, orange peel, and mineral sensations. On the palate, it has a soft, creamy, and elegant texture, with penetrating freshness and lively minerality.

The Champagne Extra Brut Premier Cru “Le Mont Benoit” by Frederic Savart is a vintage of great finesse and intensity, which classically expresses the character of the great Champagnes from the Montagne de Reims area. It is the result of passionate work from a small Maison with a typically artisanal face, producing a few bottles of the highest quality. The Champagnes of Frederic Savart are particularly sought after for their strong territorial imprint and for a taut and rigorous profile. The cuvée is mainly composed of Pinot Noir, which provides structure and depth, complemented by an elegant touch of Chardonnay. It is a bottle for connoisseurs, to be served at a special occasion.

“Le Mont Benoit” is an Extra Brut Premier Cru Champagne made by one of the most creative and skilled vignerons in Champagne. Frederic Savart cultivates 6 hectares of vineyard in the area of Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noedus, on the north-western slope of the Montagne de Reims. In creating his labels, he follows a Burgundian style, aiming to enhance the differences between the various parcels to produce Champagnes that represent the different nuances of the territory. The center of his work is the vineyard, which is managed with manicured care and low yields, to obtain grapes of great quality. His Champagnes go against the trend of the standardized vision of the large Maisons, aiming to bring to the forefront the peculiarities of the vintage and each single vineyard.

The Extra Brut Premier Cru “Le Mont Benoit” from the small Maison Frederic Savart comes from grapes sourced from a single parcel with vines over 50 years old, cultivated on soils composed of limestone rich in marine fossils and clays. Fermentation takes place directly in wood. The base wines mature for several months in barriques before blending and refermentation in bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a sur lattes resting period of 36 months. The Champagne presents itself with a golden yellow hue, crossed by a perlage of great finesse and persistence. The aromas reveal fragrant notes of apple, small berries, almond, dried fruit, bread crust.crust. On the palate, it has good structure, a long and energetic sip, which opens to an intense and rich mid-palate. The finish is characterized by a vibrant freshness.
