Champagne Nature “Solessence” J-M Seleque is a label that makes purity and refined elegance its distinctive feature. It is an artisanal Champagne made from the grapes of the three classic Champagne varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, sourced from 7 prestigious villages in the Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs areas. The long aging on the lees allows the wine to achieve full aromatic maturity with interesting evolutions, creating a highly expressive complexity of great charm. The floral and fruity notes are enriched by mineral hints, honeyed nuances, and toasted bread.
The Nature “Solessence” is a Champagne produced with artisanal care by a talented young vigneron. The Seleque family has been cultivating vines in the Pierry area since 1965, and since 2008, Jean Marc, a member of the third generation, has been leading the small Maison. The domaine extends over 9 hectares, divided into over forty parcels located in the Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs areas in the municipalities of of the famous villages of: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Dizy, Mardeuil, Boursault, and Vertus. The vines have an average age of about 40 years, are managed without the use of chemical products, and are worked only with plowing and cover cropping. Each vineyard is vinified separately, allowing for the maximum possibility of choice at the time of creating the blends. The Champagnes J-M Seleque stand out for a style of great finesse and precision, which allows for a faithful expression of the terroir.
The Champagne Nature “Solessence” by J-M Seleque comes from a selection of the best grapes from old vines over 40 years cultivated in the municipalities of the villages of Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault, and Vertus. The fermentations take place separately for each individual parcel, 90% in stainless steel tanks and 10% in oak barrels. The vins clairs rest for a few months, partially undergoing malolactic fermentation, before being blended to create the final cuvée.
