Artisanal
Rare winesCote Rotie "Cote Blonde" from Domaine Rostaing winery is a red wine made from Syrah with a small part of Viognier. Following the manual harvesting of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation takes place by means of indigenous yeasts, resulting in a 22-month aging in oak barrels. An excellent expression of the terroir of the Rhône Valley, with a silky palate of equilbrato that goes well with the classic intense fruity and floral scents and spicy notes
The Côte Rôtie “Côte Blonde” from Domaine Rostaing is a wine originating from the northern Rhône Valley, considered one of the most productive areas in France. The winery is family-run and the working philosophy is centered around the idea of producing wines artisanally that possess unique and rare qualities. René Rostaing managed the business for 40 years, thanks to the teachings of his father-in-law and uncle who were able to transmit passion and love for the profession, which was then passed down to René's son, Pierre, who continues the work of his predecessors, always looking towards the future.
The Syrah and Viognier grapes of the Côte Rôtie “Côte Blonde” from Domaine Rostaing grow in a predominantly Mediterranean climate with sunny summers, mild temperatures, and winters not subject to sudden frosts. The soil is mainly composed of alluvial deposits such as pebbles and sands, but also has a good limestone component for wines with a unique structure. The cultivation of the vine in this area is to be considered heroic, since the vines are placed on terraces and steep walls and all their care is done manually, including the harvest. In the winery, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and at the time of bottling there are neither clarifications nor filtrations.
The deep violet-red color with intense reflections of the Côte Rôtie “Côte Blonde” from Domaine Rostaing presents itself to the eye as enchanting and brilliant. The aroma it releases recalls red and black berries, spicy notes of licorice, and a slight smoky hint on the finish; on the palate, the body is robust and rich, with a present tannin, but well integrated into the overall structure with a pleasant drinkability glass after glass. It pairs perfectly with grilled meat dishes typical of French tradition, game, and first courses with a rich sauce; also interesting with aged and blue cheeses. An excellent product to keep in your cellar and consume on occasions of family celebrations and anniversaries to share with your
