Gewurztraminer Kofererhof 2023

The Gewürztraminer Kofererhof is an aromatic white wine that originates from the Isarco Valley. It is a bottle in which the varietal is well presented, central throughout the entire tasting thanks to aromas and flavors that clearly outline its main characteristics. A label that proves to be versatile at the table, excellent both with the simplest fish recipes – such as a tasty sea bream tartare – and with stewed and grilled fish preparations.

The Gewürztraminer produced by the Kofererhof winery comes from different vineyard parcels, located between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. We are in south-facing lands, characterized by a light and sandy subsoil, rich in slate and granite, at a height that allows for strong temperature fluctuations between day and night, ideal for amplifying the aromas of Gewürztraminer grapes, which are already naturally endowed with a pronounced aromaticity. The must obtained after gently pressing the grapes ferments in steel tanks, where the wine remains to mature for 8 months, a maturation period identified by the winery as optimal to present it at its best quality.

The white wine Gewürztraminer Kofererhof presents itself to the eye with a light golden yellow color, not too intense. The nose is broad and layered, where varietal aromas of exotic fruit alternate with hints of aromatic herbs and more floral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a wide and enveloping sip, characterized by a salty and fruity vein that monopolizes the taste with balance and an intense and decisive freshness. A label of excellent craftsmanship, which year after year reaches an increasingly higher quality level, demonstrating the excellent work done by Gunther Kerschbaumer within his winery.
