Kit Bianchi Veneti di Allegrini

Allegrini is one of the oldest wine families in the Veneto region, rooted in the Fumane area since the 16th century. The cornerstone of the company is undoubtedly the figure of Giovanni Allegrini who, from the 1960s onwards, introduced a number of important innovations in both viticulture and oenology, soon becoming one of the major architects of the rebirth of Valpolicella;

The "Kit Bianchi Veneti" represents an interesting proposal to discover two rather peculiar realities of the production of Allegrini, a historic Veneto-based company centred on the classic Valpolicella territory. The labels presented here come from the most isolated terroirs, well summarised in the resulting wines. "Soave Oasi San Giacomo" derives from grapes grown in the plot of the same name in Mezzane di Sotto, in the area north-east of the city of Verona: the widest Valpolicella, characterised by calcareous soils of volcanic origin. Vinified entirely in steel, it is made up of a framework of Garganega, which gives maturity and crispness to the sip, with a part of vigorous freshness; the remaining part of Chardonnay plays the role of elegance and aromatic finesse. "Lugana Oasi Mantellina" is the white wine that comes from the local Turbiana grapes, with a residual balance of Cortese, in the Brescia area that looks towards the southern shore of Lake Garda, in the municipality of Pozzolengo, on basically clayey soil. Delicate vinification and processing only in stainless steel, also in this case, to leave the identity and freshness of the varietal intact: the ripe fruit brings deep floral notes and hints of almond, generating a rich sip of distinct freshness and minerality.

The "Kit Bianchi Veneti", in its original Allegrini-designed box, offers the possibility of organising a tasting through representative terroirs of the Italian oenography, expressed through their reference grapes: an ideal accompaniment to a meal, perhaps with traditional local dishes, or simply to enjoy getting to know the characters and typicalities.
