The Lagrein from Tramin is a medium-bodied, clear, and juicy red wine, aged for 6 months in oak barrels. It is characterized by typical hints of berries and violet, enriched by delicate spicy notes

The Lagrein from the Tramin winery is a red wine with a young and fruity character, aimed at enhancing the pleasant aromatic fragrance of this native grape variety from Alto Adige. It is a very successful interpretation that, thanks to a delicate vinification, lightens the structure of the grape, making the sip agile and smooth. The brief aging in barrel helps to soften the youthful roughness of the grape and a certain tendency towards slightly wild notes. A choice that allows to highlight especially the heritage of ripe red fruit that characterizes the bouquet.

The red Lagrein from the Tramin winery comes from a selection of grapes from vineyards cultivated in the hilly areas of Ora, Egna, and Termeno at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. The soils are quite heterogeneous, with a calcareous matrix and the presence of clays, gravels, and sands of ancient glacial origin. The sunny and well-ventilated exposures allow for good ripening of this native red grape. This red is increasingly gaining popularity among

enthusiasts for its fruity, rich, and immediately expressive taste. The Tramin version accurately interprets the character of the grape, returning a straightforward, sincere and authentic face.

The Lagrein wine is part of the collection of Classic Single Varieties from the Tramin winery, which aims to promote and enhance the different grape varieties historically cultivated in Alto Adige, in the most authentic and pure varietal expression, just like Lagrein. Far from versions that weigh it down with too much wood or load it with concentration and power, making it less elegant, the Tramin winery has chosen the path of simplicity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and concrete tanks at controlled temperatures with skin maceration. The wine ages for 6 months in large oak barrels and in concrete tanks before being bottled. It presents itself with a ruby red color with slight violet hues. On the nose, it recalls small dark berries, nuances of underbrush, floral hints of violet, and soft spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a fruity sip, dense but soft tannins, and a persistent and balanced finish. The classic bottle that disappears in an instant.
