The Moscato di Limnos 'Limnia Gi' from the Greek winery Chatzigeorgiou is a dry white wine rich in fascinating aromatic hints typical of the Moscato di Alessandria, the grape variety at the base of this label. The small winery Chatzigeorgiou cultivates 7 hectares of vineyards in the Karpasi area, a location situated in the heart of the beautiful island of Limnos, in the northern part of the Aegean Sea. The Moscato di Alessandria, whose cultivation in Limnos has very ancient roots, owes its name to the fact that the grape variety seems to be originally from the city of Alexandria in Egypt.
Chatzigeorgiou 'Limnia Gi' Moscato di Limnos is a 100% Moscato di Alessandria from vines about 25 years old rooted in volcanic soils with a southeast exposure.
