Vermentino 'Pariglia' Contini 2024
The Vermentino 'Pariglia' is a white wine ideal for convivial moments thanks to its youthful character. A tribute to a local Sardinian tradition, it is vinified and aged in steel or, depending on the vintage, in cement. Whole and intense in its fresh scent of white fruit and jasmine, on the palate it is savory and finely persistent.
The Vermentino “Pariglia” takes its name from those spectacular horse performances that take place during the Sartiglia, a Sardinian equestrian tournament rooted in local agricultural traditions. We are faced with a bottle that pays homage to the typical aromas of the grape variety used, thus dominated by fruity and floral notes, a prelude to a perfect sip, synonymous with guarantee and reliability. Contini, a production reality always linked to Sardinian traditions, creates a label in which the wine takes on a powerful territorial connotation.
This “Pariglia” is a Vermentino that originates from vineyards located in the area surrounding the Terre di Ossidiana Monte Arci. We are at an altitude that reaches 100 meters above sea level, where a Mediterranean climate prevails, with mild winters and hot, well-ventilated summers. The Vermentino vines grow with trellising systems, sinking their roots into volcanic soils. The bunches, after harvesting, are softly pressed, and the must ferments in steel tanks. The wine remains to refine for a few months both in steel and in vitrified cement tanks, before being bottled and marketed.
The Vermentino “Pariglia” develops in the glass with a typically straw-yellow color. Rich on the nose, where floral and fruity notes alternate, also enriched by hints reminiscent of the peel of some citrus fruits, particularly lemon. On the palate, it is light-bodied, highly drinkable thanks to a sip characterized by a fresh note; it finishes with a finale that announces itself with a persistent aftertaste. A label signed by the Contini winery where quality abounds, in which the final price represents a pleasant surprise demonstrating that, today more than ever, it is possible to purchase products of excellent craftsmanship at more than balanced prices.
