Single Malt Whisky from Skye that is smoky and sweet, characterized by notes of ripe red fruit, dry spices, malt and marine aromas, with a rich and creamy taste, aged in American and European oak casks with final aging in ex-Porto barrels

The Single Malt Whisky "Port Ruighe" by Talisker originates from the famous island of Skye, off the Scottish coast, renowned worldwide for its extraordinary tradition in the production of high-quality spirits. It is in these cold and windy lands, specifically in Carbost, that the Talisker Distillery stands, among the most appreciated and historically rich distilleries. Founded back in 1830, it is still today an essential reference point for all enthusiasts and lovers of peaty, marine, and briny aromas, typical of Skye Island's production.

For the production of the Single Malt "Port Ruighe", the oldest and craft distillation methods are still followed today. According to tradition, the entire process takes place using classic pot stills with coils, which make the face of this refined spirit even more fascinating. The particular profile of the Single Malt "Port Ruighe" is due to the use of high-quality raw materials. The water comes directly from the springs of Cnoc nan Speireag, the malt is of a unique and selected variety, the peat is characterized by very intense aromas, which are then transferred to the glass, with typical and elegant smoky notes. For aging, barrels previously used for Port are used, which impart a particular soft and fruity aroma to the Whisky.

The Single Malt Whisky "Port Ruighe" is a label that well narrates the place of origin of the spirit. In the glass, it presents itself with a golden amber color. The olfactory profile opens with mature fruit aromas, enriched by iodine hints, smoky notes of peat and soft spices. On the palate, it is warm and intense, with enveloping aromas that shift from fruity softness to a finish with toasted hints, smoke, and a briny touch typical of the terroir of Skye Island.
