A complex and light sip with rich herbaceous and floral hints with notes of red fruits

The “Aloxe Corton” by Maison En Belles Lies originates in the village of Sant-Aubin, in the beautiful French Burgundy, a territory historically suited for the production of reds of unparalleled quality. The winery was established in 2002 when Pierre Fenals decided to follow his passion for winemaking, giving life to his production activity. The working philosophy has always been one of extreme attention to nature and its production phases: he preferred to adopt a biodynamic cultivation regime from the very beginning, so that the activity could be sustainable for the environment and for future generations.

The vineyards of the “Aloxe Corton” by Maison En Belles Lies extend over about 3 hectares of fully planted land, and the vines have an average age of about 40 years. The soil is mainly composed of clay, limestone, and pebbles for a final product with different structures; the climate is continental with hot, sunny summers and cold winters, but the temperatures allow for an excellent ripening of the grapes.allow for an excellent ripening of the grapes. The grape harvest is manual; in the winery, a whole cluster alcoholic fermentation occurs thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. It ages for 18 months in 3-year-old oak barrels.

The color of the “Aloxe Corton” by Maison En Belles Lies presents itself in the glass as a pale ruby red. On the nose, it releases hints of flowers and aromas of ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is complex and elegant with well-integrated tannins in the structure and a slight final freshness that invites drinking.
