The Barolo Cannubi by Giacomo Brezza originates in Barolo, in the beautiful province of Cuneo, the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe. The winery began its activity in 1885, complementing the management of the restaurant and hotel of the Brezza family. The philosophy that guides the work is to best enhance the Nebbiolo grape, taking care of the vineyard work with accurate pruning and thinning. They have chosen to fully embrace the tenets of organic farming, respecting tradition while combining it with innovation and modernization to best enhance the territorial characteristics. Today, the winery is managed by the fourth generation, which works with an eye always projected towards the future.

The harvest takes place in October; in the winery, the grapes are destemmed and placed in fermentation tanks. Subsequently, alcoholic fermentation occurs for 7-8 days and maceration with submerged cap with frequent pump-overs. It ages in Slavonian barrels for about 2 years. It rests in the bottle for about a year.The color of the Barolo Cannubi by Giacomo Brezza is an intense garnet red with brilliant reflections. The aromas released recall underbrush, wild violet, and hints of tobacco on the finish; on the palate, it is elegant, enveloping, and pleasantly tannic with an important final freshness that balances everything, offering an inviting drink. It is recommended to pair with traditional Piedmontese dishes of grilled and braised red meat, local game, and first courses dressed with elaborate sauces; also ideal with aged cheeses made from cow's and sheep's milk.
