The Barolo by Giacomo Brezza is a very intense red wine, a perfect expression of the elegance of Nebbiolo worthy of the great reds from Piedmont. It is an exuberant red, with a balsamic aromatic profile, spicy with notes of red fruits, structured, complex, and persistent.

With its Barolo, the Langhe winery Giacomo Brezza offers a balanced and refined interpretation of one of the most important denominations reserved for red wines in all of Italy. The Brezza family, which operates within the municipality of Barolo, boasts a long winemaking tradition dating back to 1885. In 1910, Giacomo Brezza bottled the first wines under his own label together with his father Antonio, and today it is the fourth generation of the family that manages production, also overseeing the adjacent restaurant and hotel. The traditional blend Barolo is the wine that was usually produced until the early 1970s, a period during which they began to vinify by single vineyard.

The Barolo by Giacomo Brezza is made from only Nebbiolo grapes grown between the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba, and Novello on soils with varying textures, partly clayey-silty, partly sandy, and partly silty. The rows, located at about 300 meters above sea level and exposed to the west and east, are managed under certified organic farming. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks with a not excessively prolonged maceration on the skins. Once the fermentation process is completed, aging proceeds for two years in large Slavonian oak barrels of 15 and 30 hectoliters, followed by a year of resting in the bottle before being released on the market.

The color of Barolo Giacomo Brezza is a ruby red tending towards garnet. The aromatic profile is elegant and expressive with its scents of crunchy cherry, red rose, balsamic herbs, lavender, and tobacco. On the palate, it is exuberant, structured, and complex, made agile by the excellent fresh-savory verve. The pleasant tannic texture accompanies the persistent and flavorful finish that lingers on the sensations perceived by the nose.
