The Etna Rosso 'Fermata 125' from Baglio di Pianetto is made with only Nerello Mascalese, the emblematic grape variety of the Sicilian volcano. The grapes are organically grown, and the wine ages in large barrels for a year before spending a few months in steel tanks and then in the bottle. The result is a fine, fruity red with hints of berries and sweet spices. The savory and smooth sip has a mineral character with great persistence, very typical of the region
