"Ronco delle Cime" is a fresh, soft, and fragrant Friulano with remarkable minerality. The aromas are delicately smoky, with notes of almond and white peach. The sip reveals elegance and excellent balance.

The Friulano “Ronco delle Cime” by Venica & Venica is a perfect expression of one of the most appreciated whites of the territory. It is produced with the Sauvignonasse grape, introduced in the lands of the Triveneto at the end of the 19th century. Abandoned in its original area of Bordeaux, it found its chosen land along the border with Slovenia, becoming one of its symbols, first with the name Tocai and since 2008 with that of Friulano. The Ronco delle Cime label was born in 1999 to highlight a particularly suited vineyard, which still today yields a wine of remarkable aromatic intensity and expressive balance. Particularly versatile at the table, it pairs well with first courses based on vegetables, mushroom risotto, seafood dishes, and fresh cheeses. The classic pairing is with San Daniele ham.

“Ronco delle Cime” is a Friulano resulting from the work of one of the most representative realities of the Collio area. Venica & Venica has always been committed to enhancing the territory, through the historically present grape varieties in this corner of Friuli on the border with Slovenia. Ronco delle Cime represents one of the most important crus of the estate. The vines were planted in 1974 in the highest area of the property at about 200 meters above sea level, with a north-west orientation facing the peaks of Monte Nero and Canin. The cold air currents descending from the mountains keep the grapes always dry and ensure significant temperature fluctuations between sunny days and night temperatures. The soils are composed of the classic ponca of the Dolegna del Collio area, characterized by marine sedimentation of calcareous marls and sandstones rich in mineral substances. The harvest is done manually, followed by a cold maceration for about 24 hours in oxygen protection and a soft pressing. The must ferments partly in steel tanks and partly in large barrels. Before bottling, the wine matures in steel and wood, with a stay on the lees of about 6 months.
