The Monica "Perdera" is one of the symbolic wines of the Argiolas winery, obtained from aging in barrique for 7 months. Aromas of toasted wood, red berry fruit, roses, and wild herbs integrate into a soft and warm structure, with smooth tannins and a sweet and spicy finish.

The Monica “Perdera” is a Sardinian red that from the very first sips brings to mind two words: guarantee and reliability. And it couldn’t be any other way, considering that this bottle bears the signature of Argiolas, one of the most important wineries in all of Sardinia. A productive reality that manages like few others to combine quality and quantity in every product. The “Perdera” is a delicate and intriguing label, equipped with a smooth drinkability, characterized by a varied bouquet of aromas that it manages to express on the nose.

The “Perdera” Monica signed by Argiolas is produced using a triptych of varieties, predominantly Monica, to which a small percentage of Bovale and Carignano is added, blended in a well-crafted cut. The grapes come from the estates of S’Elegas and grow within vineyards characterized by a calcareous-clay subsoil, influenced by a typically Mediterranean climate. Once harvested, the grapes ferment at a controlled temperature of 27-28 degrees for about 8-10 days. Then we move on to the aging phase, carried out for 7 months in barrique, at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled.

The red wine Monica “Perdera” presents itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of ruby red. The aromas and aromatic sensations that develop on the nose are colorful: it starts with a more floral profile, then shifts to fruity nuances that, in closing, are tinged with spicy and smoky touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied, intense, with a sip characterized by a smooth tannin and a pleasant freshness; it finishes with a finale marked by a slightly sweet aftertaste. A label that the Argiolas winery has always focused on, and which represents one of the flagships of the entire production.
