The Nobile di Montepulciano by Boscarelli is one of the most famous and illustrious expressions of the denomination: a full-bodied and enveloping red wine, aged for 24 months in large barrels. It releases aromas of roses, violets, berries, and licorice in the glass. On the palate, it reveals elegance, structure, warmth, and precision.

The Nobile di Montepulciano by Boscarelli is the most traditional and representative label from the winery, a true paradigm of the territory. This great red has indeed maintained quality and production methods constant since 1968, the year it was first put on the market. It is therefore a legendary label that has significantly contributed to writing the history of the denomination and the territory.

The Boscarelli Nobile di Montepulciano is obtained mostly from Sangiovese grapes, locally known as Prugnolo Gentile, with minimal percentages of Colorino, Mammolo, and Canaiolo added. The vines grow on calcareous soils of alluvial origin and sandy soils, with a good presence of silt, clay, and rocky skeleton. The grapes are selected from 10-year-old vines and transported to the winery for the winemaking phases. After the destemming of the bunches, a spontaneous fermentation in oak or steel tanks begins, filled no less than two-thirds of their capacity to ensure good oxygenation.more than two-thirds of their capacity to ensure good oxygenation. The fermentation lasts a week and, during this phase, pump-overs and punch downs are scheduled. The maceration continues for another 5 to 8 days after fermentation. The aging takes place in Allier and Slavonian oak barrels of various capacities for a period ranging from 18 to 24 months.

The Nobile Boscarelli is a traditional, impeccable and elegant expression of the Montepulciano territory. It presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, elegant hints of rose violets, marasca, and mixed berry jam are perceived, combined with spicy and mineral notes with traces of licorice and toasting. On the palate, it is soft, decisive, warm, enveloping, and elegant, with a dense tannic structure. It is a structured red wine that pairs well with flavorful meat dishes or aged cheeses, a vigorous expression that reveals itself slowly over time, providing great satisfaction to the senses.
