'Rapace' Uccelliera 2021
"Rapace" by Uccelliera winery is a red wine produced in the prestigious area of Montalcino starting from almost all of Sangiovese, combined with small percentages of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks to a long refinement between barrique and bottle, it presents itself to the nose with a rich and evolved aromatic set, with vegetal and balsamic notes in the foreground combined with hints of Mediterranean scrub and myrtle berries. The sip is dense, of good freshness and velvety tannic with almondy returns in the end
The Tuscan wine “Rapace” produced by the Uccelliera winery reveals itself to the eye with a perfectly garnet color, very clear and bright. The range of aromas that spreads to the nose is multifaceted, characterized by Mediterranean notes alternating with more vegetal, spicy, and balsamic touches. On the palate, it has excellent structure, concentrated and intense, with a sip that glides across the palate thanks to the perfect polishing of the tannins; it finishes with a persistent finale, marked by an almond aftertaste. A bottle resulting from experimentation and trials, which testifies that to reach a wine that approaches perfection, the work done in the vineyard and in the winery must be continuous and tenacious.
