The Friulian Rosé signed by Livio Felluga is an interesting rosé, which testifies to the desire to look ahead of a winery that is considered a milestone in regional oenology, but that despite this does not cease to set itself new challenges and goals. Just like the one of uniting Merlot and Pinot Noir dressing them in pink, in a bottle with an appealing nose, a prelude to a fresh and briny sip, which thus calls for exquisite pairings with oysters, bottarga, and sea urchins. A beautiful novelty to indulge in an original Rosé.
This Rosé Livio Felluga is a wine that comes from the union of two internationals, Pinot Nero and Merlot, cultivated in a terroir rich in marls and sandstones of Eocene origin. Among the rows, the fight against pests follows the methods of integrated agriculture, with low environmental impact. The grapes are harvested by hand in boxes during the harvest phase, thus avoiding the slightest crushing. After soft pressing, the must is clarified by decantation, and then fermented both in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature, controlled, partly, in terracotta containers. The wine then continues to mature in steel and terracotta for a few months, before being bottled.
The Rosé Livio Felluga presents itself with a light pink color, characterized by a particular brightness and hue. The bouquet that develops on the nose is pleasant from the first moments, telling a story of floral and fruity notes, while at the end of the olfactory analysis, light spicy references also emerge. On the palate, it is lean and drinkable, with a fresh and savory sip, played on a very interesting overall harmony. A label that aims to showcase the Friulian terroir and its character with a new and original guise, a result of the innovative spirit that has always characterized Felluga's work.
