The Sangiovese "Vigna del Generale" is a structured and full-bodied wine born from the mineral and sulfurous soils of Predappio Alta and aged for 2 years in large barrels. Clear and complex on the nose, with spicy, fruity, and forest notes, it envelops the palate demonstrating great balance and elegance. A monument to Sangiovese from Romagna

The Sangiovese Superiore Riserva “Vigna del Generale” from Fattoria Nicolucci is born in Predappio Alta in the province of Forlì Cesena, a place where the Sangiovese of Romagna expresses its intrinsic qualities in the best way. The Nicolucci family has been cultivating and working this land for generations: the activity began in 1885, when some land and some native grape varieties, already present in the area since the year 1000, were recovered. Over time, generation after generation, the knowledge and experience in this field have been passed down, and over time the winery has earned a reputation as a reference point for Romagna and a champion of Sangiovese producers from Romagna. Today the winery is managed by Alessandro Nicolucci, who works to ensure that his family's heritage survives the passage of time.

The vineyards of the Sangiovese Superiore Riserva “Vigna del Generale” from Fattoria Nicolucci are located in a hilly area, not far from Forlì Cesena. The altitude is about 300 meters above sea level and the soil is mainly composed of sulfur minerals, clay, limestone, and sulfur for an elegant and characterful final product. The climate is continental, characterized by hot, low-rainfall, rather sultry summers and cold, humid winters with intense fog and rare snowfall. The intervention in the vineyard is calibrated and attentive to respecting the natural phases of growth and development of the plants. The grape harvest is done manually; in the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place, and the must ages for 24 months in oak barrels and rests for 3 months in the bottle.

The color of the Sangiovese Superiore Riserva “Vigna del Generale” from Fattoria Nicolucci is a bright ruby red with intense reflections. The bouquet of aromas recalls wild violets, sour cherries, currants, and spicy notes like tobacco and leather; on the palate, it is structured, elegant, and enveloping, with a good presence of tannins and a persistent yet pleasant finish that invites you to drink glass after glass. It pairs ideally with second courses based on braised red meat, local game; interesting
