Perfect to drink every dayThe "Scaliere" by Rosa del Golfo is a fruity, juicy, and very fresh red wine made from Negroamaro and other grapes, vinified and aged only in steel. It has an aromatic profile dominated by notes of ripe fruit, red flowers, and woodland spices, with pleasant hints of underbrush and humus. On the palate, it is round, harmonious, delicate, and very fresh.
The Apulian red wine "Scaliere" has a name that refers to the origin of the winemaking adventure of the Rosa del Golfo winery. "Scaliere" is indeed the one who traces the first furrow of the vineyard, starting a production journey in which passion, dedication, and love are essential elements to create quality products. Just like this bottle, where the Negroamaro leads the blend with its typically varietal notes, ensuring a round and refreshing sip, perfect for accompanying various recipes of traditional Italian cuisine.
This "Scaliere" is born from a blend predominantly made of Negroamaro. This great red grape variety, widely cultivated within the regional borders, dominates the blend with a percentage of 90%, where the remaining 10% is the result of a mix of other red grapes. The grapes, carefully selected to ensure only the best of the terroir of origin, are immediately taken to the winemaking facilities of the Rosa del Golfo winery after harvesting, where they are crushed and statically decanted.cold; then follows the alcoholic fermentation, carried out in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. It concludes with aging, in which the wine rests for 6 months in steel, until the moment when bottling operations begin.
The red wine “Scaliere” presents itself to the eye with a typically ruby color, characterized by brightness and a particular brilliance. The olfactory spectrum moves on notes that are mainly fruity, floral, and spicy, also enriched by nuances of humus and underbrush aromas. On the palate, it is light-bodied, flavorful, and tasty, with a sip that highlights a fresh vein, characterized by a fine tannic structure. Rosa del Golfo, a winery that has been dedicated to the production of wines in the Salento region for eighty years, gifts us a bottle of excellent quality, where even the purchase price has a more than positive impact.
